Welcome to Jewel of India, your neighborhood home for authentic Indian food in the heart of Seattle's University District. Since opening our doors in November 2002 at 4735 University Way NE, we have proudly served Seattle with home-style Punjabi cooking and warm hospitality. We are a family owned and operated restaurant.

Everything on our menu is North Indian, cooked the way we learned at home. The tandoor fires up every morning and the naan is pulled by hand. From our Butter Chicken to our vegan-friendly Channa Masala, every dish is made with fresh ingredients, authentic Indian spices, and the same Punjabi recipes we started with more than two decades ago. All of our chicken and lamb is prepared with halal-certified meat, and we cook vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and Jain-friendly menus on request, so there is always a place at our table for every dietary preference.

Whether you are visiting for a quick lunch, our weekend lunch buffet on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, or a catered family celebration, we want you to feel like one of our own. Over the last two decades we have become one of Seattle's favorites for dine-in, takeout, delivery, and catering, and we are the most-reviewed Indian caterer in the city on EzCater.

The University District is home. Restaurants have opened and closed all around The Ave since we arrived, and the students change every September. What has not changed is who is in the kitchen and what is on the stove. We are grateful for every regular who has eaten with us for years, and we are always excited to welcome a new face into our restaurant family.
